The sixth chakra is also knowned as the Brow chakra or anja in Sanskrit. The color that is refered to this chakra is indigo. It is associated with the eyes, nose, and the center of the forehead. The chakra reveals the way we perceive the world. And in this way, we learned from our experiences. Therefore as time goes by, it would be safe to say that our perception of the world and the people in it will change as well. If there is an imbalance in this chakra you may be in fantasy land or in delusion. When the chakra is healthy you see reality as it truly is and you will be more detached more from each outcome in your life, therefore gaining better intuition, knowledge and using better judgement. Through this chakra people aslo report seeing ghosts, spirits, and auras. Also when you dream at night this chakra is stimulated through your inner vision.
Third Eye Chakra
Throat Chakra
Visuddhi is Sanskrit for the the throat chakra and is the fifth chakra in ascending order. The main body parts associated with this chakra is the thyroid gland and the throat. The color associated with this chakra is blue. The process of speech and being heard is regulated throughout this chakra(in a creative and logical manner). If their is any imbalances in this chakra one may find that it is very hard to express their selves in their own truth. One may also talk to much, which would be the same as being egotistical and not hearing others opinions. So their has to be a balance between speaking and hearing the truth. With that being said, honesty is a very important quality of the throat chakra, and as one gets older this becomes more noticeable. If one is connected more to their spiritual self they will find speaking in any situation a easy task, but if not their speech may come out muddled. Right below this chakra is the Heart chakra so if that chakra is wide open and healthy, eventually you will be speaking more from your heart and your truth instead of lies(or false idols). Clair audience is also another aspect of this chakra. Mostly by dreams and doing certain spiritual techniques, one may hear inner sounds or voices which is said to be their spirit guides(depending on the person and the way they interpret the sounds, this can be a good or frightening experience).
In my own relation to the throat chakra growing up, I would have come across as the shy type. The main reason for this is because of my other chakras being overactive at the time, blocking more energy in the higher chakras. I also believe that I was listening to much and not speaking up for myself. Now that i have just experienced a spiritual awakening it seems that speak more in a positive manner and a lot of external issues do not bother me any more. The way I use to speak would be related to alot of rappers or how I would hear my friends talk. This means that I was following the crowd…..but when it came time to speak my truth or do something important i would get nervous and my voice would be much low. I also did not really understand how communication worked and when people tried to open me up it was still hard. This is when one hears false things and therefore speaks in a negative manner. I believe their are a lot of people in society today who may seem extroverted or introverted but they may be the complete opposite when it comes to their spiritual nature. As soon as you connect with spirit you may become more introverted but this may only last until you integrate more of your inner truth into your life. Then you may find that certain ways of thinking, speaking, and listening may not have been helping you in your life. I see this in my life right now because i still listen to hip-hop but the vibe I get from it is different(i don’t try to act it out anymore) and i definitely do not idolize any artist anymore(at least i won’t be until i take down that T.I. poster lol). Their are also certain jokes on TV i use to find funny and now when i see it i would have to force myself to laugh and that doesn’t even work. I actually find myself reading more often nowadays especially science fiction. Less fantasizing and more literacy especially in the spiritual content i recognize as well.
The Heart Chakra
The heart chakra is the fourth chakra out of all seven. Its location is centered in the middle of the chest(not to be confused with your actual heart which is on the left side right below the chest). The color associated with this chakra is mainly green. This chakra governs our ability to love one another as well as to love ourselves. It also relates to people we have loved throughout our lifetime. People that we have unconditional love for would fit this category. In spiritual healing, this chakra is very important because it connects the lower chakras with the higher ones, thus making a mind-body connection. When this chakra is wide open it becomes the center for universal love, however this will only completely happen when your Higher Self enters the chakra to heal past emotional issues. Sadness is the main emotional issue to be healed in this chakra(especially if going through a lack of self love which can happen if the sacral chakra is unbalanced. This goes to show you that one chakra can have an effect on other chakras). If you are very insensitive, this chakra could need more healing than you think. When the healing energies in this chakra occurs you may go through periods of crying for no reason at all. Then you may have moments when you love everybody, and that is how sensitive this chakra is.
I have noticed my heart chakra opening up around April of this year. During this time it was hard for me to get a good nights sleep because of the pain that i felt in my chest at night. This was when i really started my spiritual journey and became interested in spiritual ideals(and was completely unaware of the kundalini energy I was seeing until I did more research). During this time I started to feel quite feminine for a couple of days. I believe the main cause of this was my abstinence from masturbation, which allowed more energy to flow up, therefore reaching a higher level of consciousness. As a result I was going through a slight depression, which isn’t a bad thing at all(depression can be seen as a form of medication for pain instead of using conventional medicine, remember your body has its own healing powers). I began to feel love for mainly animals, plants and nature in general. I remember days where my left leg was aching and I was walking quite lopsided, struggling to get to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Some moments I even felt like Christ was walking with me through all this and guiding me to get to where i need to go. It wasn’t until the summer however that i started to cry over certain females and my mother.
This goes to show you that their are certain issues in our past that needs major confrontation. These blocks are the reason we cant live a fulfilling life. Whether it be sadness, hate, envy, or fear of change, these things inhibit us to grow. It seems as if nowadays people are more into wealth and sex, that they lose the spirtual side of everything(even if the spiritual side can lead to a more unconditionally loved family, friends, and relationships). Until we except all of our emotions and not just the good ones, we will live complete attachment to others(thus strenghtening the material ego), and lose our connection with our Higher Self(spirtual ego).
The Solar Plexus
The third chakra is called the solar plexus and is also called manipura(in sanskrit). This chakra is positioned at the navel and stomach region right above the sacral chakra. The color that is associated with this chakra is yellow. This chakra mainly controls your sense of power, self esteem and self image. It also identifys your ability to take responsibility for your own actions. If their is an imbalance in this chakra you may be trying to fortify your own ego. In other words, you may find yourself trying to manipulate others for too much power. One of the main emotions of this chakra is fear. It is said that the more you try to strengthen your own ego, the more you are actually living off of fear. When this chakra is balanced however, you begin to act on your goals. You will understand that fear is only a stimulus that is being communicated by your higher power to tell you your dreams are on the line. When you ACT , you accept your failures and successes for what they are. When this chakra is healthy you achieve a state of just BEING.
The Sacral Chakra
The second chakra located just below the abdomen and is in between the navel and genital area. This is the Sacral chakra or Swadhisthana meaning sweet. The color associated with this chakra is orange. Our since of pleasure and everyday taste’s are located in this chakra. I do not just mean the taste of food however, but also your music, clothes, and color taste as well. The sacral chakra governs how we express our creativity, in particular our sexuality for pleasure. This chakra also governs most emotions. If this chakra is unbalanced, then physical symptoms such as lower back pain, reproductive diseases, or bladder infections. Emotional imbalances can manifest as a since of guilt, apathy, and blame. When this chakra is balanced , you will tend to be very creative, high sexual vitality, and good self esteem. Also your relationship with the opposite sex will improve.
Over the summer I believe my sacral chakra was starting to heal because of certain things i decided to change myself. One of those things was stopping masturbating. Once I did this, i first began to go through emotions of guilt, feeling that sex is a sinful act. However i began to excercise, read, and also other creative endevours. I began to feel better during june, also my friendships with people, in particular females began to get better. I believe this is the result of my emotions being more balanced and i am more in touch with myself now(emotional independence). As a result, accepting change in my life has been pleasant, i noticed my posture and overall self esteem rising because of my creative actions. Also my ability to communicate with females has improved with less anxiety.

The Root Chakra
The root chakra, also known as Muladhara is the first of the 7 chakras and is located around the lower portion of the body(legs, feet ankles etc). The color associated with this chakra is red and the sense that is most involved is smell. The root chakra is related to the fight or flight response. In other words, when we feel that we are in great danger, our survival instincts will begin to show us a way out of trouble. It is also related to our relationship with money, home, relationships and trust of others. When this chakra is healthy, we are well grounded and we are fully present, not worrying about the past or future. Therefore, this chakra greatly relates to the earth or mother nature(if it is healthy you will also notice the relationship between you and your own mother get better).
Recently i have been experiencing a little pain on one of my toes on my right foot. I tend to look at this symptom as my body releasing toxings from my root chakra because it usually happens right after i finish a weekly jog. It is not a year long disease but something that comes for a week and goes away. Since running is a form of meditation it will have a healing effect on all chakras anyway. Me and my mother have always been close but recently we have been goin to the gym together. Also, over the summer we went to the nationl zoo together, so I feel my connection with nature and my mother improving. Issues do however come up every now and then, such as car issues and getting enough money to pay for the damage. Sometimes I still notice my fear of certain animals such as bees as well. This just shows you that Healing each chakras is a never ending process.

Introducing the 7 Chakras
Greetings to all and welcome to my Blog, The 7 Chakras. You may be asking yourself what the heck is a chakra. A chakra is an energy center that radiates in every human throughout their whole body. This specific spiritual system started with Hinduism, but now some people of the western civilization has excepted it as well. The Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and Crown are the names given to each chakra. Each chakra is located at different points on a humans body. The job of these chakras is to heal stuck energy’s(symptoms) in each body part. They do this by bringing up related issues in our everyday life. The result of this is that our imagination is formed by these 7 chakras. Each of our senses are connected with these chakras, which can make life seem like paradise or purgatory. However, since these chakras exist in us, all we have to do is some type of healing work to release certain emotional, mental , and physical conditions. The work can be anything from excercise to meditation. As long as you are healing your body and mind(which are connected in many ways) you are on the right track. In my next post, I will discuss the first of the seven chakras, called The Root Chakra. For each chakra i will also discuss certain issues that i have experienced with my body and mind.
